Our emphasis has always been on quality and flexibility,
with reports available in a variety of formats, our standard package
includes a hardcopy report and a softcopy contained on our unique
customer utility CD, along with a secure online version. Our reports
have been created with significant input from insurance companies,
ensuring that everything conforms to the needs of a modern insurance
company.
In Europe it is estimated that there are 2 to
5 new infrared consulting companies going into business each week.
Many of these are utilising the large supply of outdated infrared
imaging equipment that has been around since the early 1970's. In
addition there is a corresponding lack of professionally trained
and certified thermographers operating these cameras. You have a
real "buyer beware" market.
At Thermal Vision not only
do we use Flir High resolution equipment, but we also have our own PCN Certified Level III Thermographer on staff, something few consulting
companies in the world can claim. Having a Level III infrared Thermographer certified by a third party
means that unlike other companies we are qualified to fully interpret,
diagnose and prioritise problems and set-up, run and manage Thermography Program’s. PCN certification is provided by BINDT an independent certification body that certifies thermographers in accordance with ISO 18436. We are currently one of only a few companies worldwide to have an independently certified Level 3 thermographer on staff.

Thermal Vision was established in 1998 by Bob Berry. Bob has over fifteen years experience as a director of an electrical contracting company, where his varied responsibilities included site management, maintenance and testing. Among other things he was involved in the DSR certification of electrical installations for their hydrocarbon licenses, testing, and certification and commissioning of electrical installations.
Bob remains active as an infrared thermographer in various applications. As a thermographer with over ten years' experience, and over 5,500 hours of thermography, he has worked extensively in electrical thermography, buildings and civil applications and has assisted in many R&D projects. Bob has written a number of thermography specifications for insurance companies in Ireland and the UK, and worked closely with their risk managers and thought them how to interpret a thermographic report.
As the only third party ISO Certified Level 3 thermographer in Ireland, Bob has trained and mentored other thermographers, developed specifications and work procedures and overseen in-house thermography programs; he has worked for some of the largest companies in Ireland (and overseas), from manufacturing to residential, offices to pharmaceutical, Bob's work covers a very broad range and customer base.
Bob was one of the first thermographers in the world (and one of only a few) to pass the BINDT Level 3 Certification exams,  and currently holds Level 3 Certification in Electrical and Civil Thermography with BINDT, along with ITC Level 3 certification. He began working with ITC as a licensed thermography instructor in 2005, and has presented courses on three continents and currently presents both Level 1 & 2 training courses. In 2008 Bob was awarded membership of BINDT at corporate level, by qualification.
Bob is a regular attendee at the Inframation conference and works as a course developer for ITC, he has developed expert modules for the Level 2 and short courses. He also holds a Certificate in Training and Development from NUI, Maynooth and is a registered trainer with the National Register for Trainers in Ireland.
